Network with the Young Agrarians in April!
Join us for our monthly Network Meeting, where we will provide Kamloops Food Policy Council & Interior Community Services updates, feast together, share event announcements, and hear about what the Young Agrarians has been up to recently.
The Young Agrarians Okanagan Coordinator, Emily Jubenvill, will provide a presentation with an overview of the work that Young Agrarians is doing in BC and at a regional level. She’d love to hear from the group what some of the gaps/opportunities are in the Kamloops area that Young Agrarians could potentially be better supporting or involved in in the future.
Emily Jubenvill grew up on Bowen Island, BC, studied environmental science at university, and spent nearly ten years working on food security and urban agriculture projects in the Lower Mainland. Now she lives in Enderby and farms a market garden at Enderberry Farm. She loves her new home in the North Okanagan. Along with growing veggies, she tends to the chicken flock and her small herd of Alpine goats. When she’s not farming, you’ll find her playing with her border collie, going for walks with her partner Owen, or cross country skiing at Larch Hills.
