Indemnity and Release of Liability

I RECOGNIZE AND ACKNOWLEDGE that there are inherent risks and hazards involved in harvesting fruit.

I agree to assume all such risks and hazards and bear all costs of medical attention. The following is a nonexclusive list of possible risks that could be encountered while volunteering for the Gleaning Abundance Program:

a) falling from a tree

b) falling off a ladder

c) allergic reaction to an insect bite

d) being poked in the eye by a tree branch

e) having fruit or branches fall on your body

f) damage to another person’s property

I HEREBY REMISE, RELEASE AND FOREVER DISCHARGE the Kamloops Food Policy Council, its employees, and advisory committee of and from all manner of actions, causes of actions, claims and demands whatsoever nature which I may have in respect to any injury resulting from participation as a volunteer with the Gleaning Abundance Program.
