Community Seed Library Get-Together

Community Seed Libraries are cropping up everywhere and we are very excited to be starting one here in Kamloops! Seed libraries can have many benefits to the community, including:

  • protecting genetic diversity
  • helping develop locally-adapted plant varieties
  • promoting self-reliance and public access to seed
  • contributing to public education about seed saving and the importance of biodiversity

If you are interested in learning more about seed saving or getting involved with our local seed library, please join us for an informal get-together on Monday, April 23 at 6:30 pm at the Mount Paul Community Food Centre. Refreshments will be served and there will be seeds to share. For more info or to RSVP, please email gleaningabundance@gmail.com.
