In September, as part of our new social enterprise program, we put out a survey to our community at large. We asked questions designed to help us better understand the market and what kind of products we could produce. It was helpful feedback that we received, with over 90 respondents.
We promised a $100 prize for one lucky participant, and we’re happy to announce that the winner is Julie Rymer, from Sahali. Thanks for answering our questions, Julie!
The surveys have helped us in our process of developing a product to bring to market. The social enterprise has been an interesting puzzle and there’s been a lot to learn along the way. We’re hard at work, though, and hope to have something we can sell by next spring or summer. So keep your eyes peeled and your taste buds ready!
Check out this press release from the Ministry of Agriculture. It’s great to see our governments investing in our food security and supporting local farmers with equipment, skills training and financial support.
