The Kamloops Food Policy Council has an interest in fostering a sustainable food system for our community. Documenting a previous community food system can inform our future decisions as individuals and groups and can provide support to the development of policies in the community that can strengthen our local food system.
Dave Whiting, who represents the Fraser Basin Council on the Kamloops Food Policy Council, is coordinating a group of volunteers to map the Kamloops food system as it was in 1948. The map below is a part of the project. Visit the project website at http://www.kamloopsfoodsystem.ca/ to get more information on this unique project.
