Heartland Foods and Farm Tours Co-operative is an organization of local farmers and ranchers who produce a broad range of agricultural products. Heartland was formed to meet the growing demand for locally produced foods, and to build stronger relationships between food producers and consumers.
The Heartland Mission : “to create a culture in which local sustainable agriculture is thriving as an integral part of the local economy. By valuing local agriculture we will ensure a healthy and accessible local food system for future generations.
Ranching and farming are intrinsic to the hertiage of the Kamloops area. Each member of our community has a role to play in ensuring that these traditional ways of life continue to flourish. Buying local is a tangible way to support our region’s farmers and ranchers, to reduce your ecological footprint through reducing the distance that your food travels, and to ensure a healthy, local. and sustainable food system for our community.
Heartland Quality Foods exists to make buying local food easy. Supplying a diverse range of locally produced foods including seasonsal produce, grass fed beef, chicken, pork and lamb as well as a selection of grocery items.
