We are going to reconvene next week for the first time in 2017, it will be wonderful to see everyone again! We are going to learn more about the Oncore Seniors Society and how they connect their senior clients to healthy food, as well as from the City of Kamloops and their Green Expo, and a PhD researcher who will be studying the KFPC.

Our next KFPC meeting will divert from the usual structure, December is a time to relax a bit and learn something new. We are going to be learning about the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, an important set of goals that is still not well known. There will be lots of networking time as well!
As usual, it’s a potluck dinner, and the meeting will run from 5:30-8pm at Mt Paul Food Center at 140 Laburnum St on the north shore. Hope to see you there!

We are going to be trying out a new format for this KFPC meeting, and will be highlighting one of our member organizations, Gardengate! We will have also have time to hear from the Kamloops Makerspace about their new chicken coop design, and from Marcia Dick about hosting Just Eat It as part of the Films for Change series. After dinner, there will be some time devoted to networking, so you will have time to talk to those people you may not have to chance to during regular meetings. We look forward to seeing you at the meeting next week and letting us know what you think of the new structure.
