March 29, 2019
8 AM to 4:30 PM
A core team of concerned organizations has been working collectively to host a dialogue on this issue to identify strategic and coordinated actions, advocacy, and research that could have an impact on reducing household food insecurity.
OUR MISSION IS TO:
SHIFT the dialog and debate on the problem of household food insecurity
ALIGN local and regional actors in food security around what works
INSPIRE local and regional actors to engage in poverty reduction and advocacy
The 2019 Nourish Program will provide an opportunity for participants to learn how their initiatives link to other community members’ work, to provincial advocacy and a national vision for addressing the root causes of household food insecurity.
We will be highlighting two main topics areas:
~ Understanding the links between decolonization and food security
~ Poverty as one of the root causes of food insecurity
We don’t want cost to be a barrier to for anyone interested in attending, but it would be greatly appreciated if you, or your organization, can support this work by providing a donation ($15 – $40). Registration deadline is March 22, 2019.
